Recalibrate

Some moments, my mind wonders off thinking about something completely irrelevant to work. Before I know it, an hour goes by and I haven't done anything productive. This happens more often than I realise especially if I didn't get enough sleep the night before.

These are the moments that I need to recalibrate.

  1. I take a walk somewhere else for a short while and come back. Taking a walk functions like a reset button. It breaks the stream of mindlessness that seems to go on forever.
  2. Coffee. Definitely helps spike my brain.
  3. Write about it. Well, writing helps me be aware of my state of mind so that I can manage it better.

The quicker I catch myself wondering off, the faster I get back to productivity.
